Naval Air Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Patuxent River, Maryland
You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the BUSINESS & FINANCIAL OPERATIONS OFFICE of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
You will lead efforts to prepare and document plans, schedules, and contract documentation to facilitate how contract, funding and other resources will accomplish the mission of the Comptroller Group.
You will assist in preparing procurement request packages for submission to Contracts.
You will prepare cost estimates as needed and determine the availability of funding.
You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization?s programs and administrative operations.
Conditions of Employment
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of contracting, financial management, and administrative principles and techniques; 2) Analyzing data for trend analysis and utilizing problem solving techniques to resolve issues; 3) Applying analytical techniques and methods to define program/resource requirements and prepare cost estimates; 4) Extracting data and executing transactions using a financial system of record (i.e. Navy ERP); 5) Providing technical advice and guidance on a variety of contracting issues; and 6) Distributing, consolidating, and responding to data calls.
