KDB is looking for talented individuals who enjoy challenges to join the team. We are currently seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst.
The role reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis of the Company.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and analyze financial data in support of the annual operating budget and monthly rolling financial forecast at the corporate and project level.
Actively participate in weekly cash flow forecasting and cash management efforts.
Prepare and present standard financial analyses and ad hoc finance projects on behalf of operations and finance teams.
Partner with management to produce key operational performance metrics and work directly with operations teams to calculate, review and make recommendations for corrective/continuous action.
Perform complex financial analyses in support of presentations to management, Board of Directors, and private equity team.
Improve financial performance by analyzing periodic results; monitoring variances to plan and prior forecasts, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
Increase team productivity and ensure scalability of processes by developing and championing automated processes and tools; assist with the implementation of new business intelligence tools and software modules
Perform market research, data mining, and valuation comps, as necessary.
MBA and/or CPA with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar business specialty
3-5 years of work experience in a fast-paced business environment; public accounting experience highly preferred
Must have a deep understanding of financial statements, especially the relationship between the income statement and balance sheet
Keen quantitative and qualitative analytical skills including the ability to identify meaningful trends
Strong financial modeling experience including the building and maintenance of complex forecasts and models; prior data mining and on-line market research experience highly desirable
Self-starter with a big picture mindset; must prefer working smart via process improvement and have a passion to learn and grow
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel functionality is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Oracle Smart View, Access, SQL, Business Objects)
Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
