The Vice President, Business Insights and Analytic Services will be a key member of the company’s extended leadership team and will be responsible for defining the overall analytics strategy and vision for the company. The role will further advance the company’s culture of data-informed decision-making and develop an analytical learning agenda to provide data insights to the company’s leadership. Position will serve as a critical business partner who seeks to understand business issues and consistently leverages data, statistical modeling and other analyses to develop insights to improve financial and operational performance.

The business intelligence team provides best-in-class analytical support to drive strategic and operating decisions in support of Choice’s corporate goals across the enterprise. The Vice President will allocate analytical resources to Choice’s largest business initiatives and senior management’s most pressing needs including but not limited to marketing resource/media allocation, distribution channel optimization, brand performance insights, hotel-level pricing guidance, development/franchisee sales opportunities, and franchise services resource deployment assessments. They will also drive the development of new metrics and assist in setting MBOs based on appropriate metrics and provide the company with an analytical testing plan that provides ongoing learning for the business about how to adjust strategies and tactics to improve performance. They will also drive the development of predictive models to drive insights and revenue for the enterprise.

Skills, Educational Background, and Experience:

  • 15 or more years of experience in business and financial analysis, including ROI analysis.

  • 10 or more years managerial experience with applying advanced analytic techniques to business problems and opportunities; hospitality or franchisee experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, and simulation techniques

  • Knowledge about state-of-the-art techniques used to measure marketing performance in offline and online environments

  • Strong knowledge of experimental design techniques

  • Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization, including senior management.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and consulting skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to report complex analysis and conclusions in easy to understand written reports and oral presentations.

  • An advanced degree in analytics, finance or a quantitative discipline required.
