The Director, Sub-Regional Operations is responsible for driving performance and service improvement along with process standardization for all state operations in the Mid-Atlantic sub regional (Delaware, Maryland and Washington DC). The role will report to the EVP/ GM. S/he will manage a team of State Directors of Operations who manage the day to day operations in their state including warehouse, delivery and occupancy as well as supporting the Commercial team.

· Manage and maintain the annual budget from creation to monthly achievement of delivering the objectives

· Work with Local Union business agent in the state’s that have a union presence and work to maintain a nonunion environment in the state’s that do not have a union presence

· Partner with the Sub region Human Resource Department to ensure compliance in all Operational departments

· Participate in Vendor compliance regarding MHE equipment, and building issues

· Manage and delivery the desired results on the established KPI’s for the Mid-Atlantic Sub Region

· Oversee, coach and mentor the State Directors of Operations as well as new members of the Mid-Atlantic management team, assisting them in gaining knowledge of the business to build a strong pool of future operational leadership

· Work with Regional and Corporate partners such as: Sales, Purchasing and Logistics, Safety, Internal Audit, Fleet, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure that the Mid-Atlantic Sub region is compliant in all areas

· Ability to learn and understand multiple Warehouse and Sales management systems such as WMI, Sapphire, Topaz, Roadnet,

· Work with local Transportation teams and Florid centralized routing teams to ensure that the Mid-Atlantic region has an efficient delivery route to market·

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

Bachelor’s degree required; Supply Chain Management or related field preferred

· Graduate degree in related field is a plus (e.g. MBA, Supply Chain Management, Operations)

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain operations or process improvement required with direct responsibility for results

· Experience working with Senior Leadership to challenge thinking and influence outcomes / results required; Comfortable working across all levels of the organization

· Experience leading and managing cross functional teams- either direct reports or project-based teams required

· Deep knowledge and experience in supply chain logistics, warehouse and distribution management, required

· Strong understanding of change management, project management and process excellence principals; process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma) is a plus

· Experience in the beverage alcohol industry is preferred

· Ability to present complex concepts and data in a manner that is understandable by senior leadership as well as execution staff

· Strong analytical and problem solving and program execution skills. Fluent with data driven analysis identifying (root cause, failure mode, and statistical analysis of processes and systems)

· Ability to prioritize and drive difficult decisions among business partners

· Proficient user of MS Office Suite with working knowledge of business systems

· Strong organizational & time management skills. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and change direction on short notice in an effective manner

· Minimum 30% travel required
