BrandSafway Branch Manager in Sparrows Point, Maryland
BrandSafway is looking to bring on a Branch Manager in Sparrows Point, MD. This position oversees the multi-craft services and operations provided by their branch. The incumbent is responsible for leading growth efforts while managing the productivity and performance of projects. Additionally, the branch manager supports customer relationships by maintaining project awareness and client communications. Customer success is critical for our branch’s success, so we rely on our branch managers to promote mutual stewardship of both party’s interest. By overseeing and supporting warehouse operations, sales efforts, and project operations and safety, the branch manager drives the success of our projects and jobs while facilitating the financial monitoring that ensures the cost-effective success of our work.
Manages the income statement to expand our services, effectively control cost, and promote productivity
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
Strategically coordinates forecasts and budgets to achieve growth targets
Analyzes and forecasts project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
Remains current on business trends, competition, technology and economic factors especially those specific to the branch to develop effective operational and strategic plans
Facilitates a team environment where all team members actively control their processes and teams are responsible for meeting sales, construction and other established objectives
Lead selling efforts such as estimating, presentations, and developing proposals to secure and grow business
Plans, directs and coordinates construction functions to assure teams achieve pre-determined objectives in construction productivity, efficiency, safety, quality and cost control
Coordinates materials management to ensure appropriate levels of inventory to meet rental and sales objectives in a cost-effective manner, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Support continuous presence maintenance accounts
Promotes and investigates opportunities for growth with both new and/or existing customers
Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural changes to improve operations

This position directly oversees the activities of commercial/industrial operations support staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and recommending employees for advancement, promotion or other change of status; rewarding and disciplining employees up to and including termination; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Preferred bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in relevant field.
Minimum job requirements are 6 to 10 years in a general construction management position serving industrial and commercial customers. Incumbent should have experience with sales, being comfortable with presentations and account management. Additionally, this position is operations focused and requires experience with office and warehouse management; one should be familiar with and able to drive safety policies and logistical procedures.

The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places, is exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust, non-weather heat, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate but may be loud at certain times while visiting construction job sites.
The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. Encounters typical working conditions at construction sites such as dangerous, slippery, uneven walking surfaces, mud, ice, concrete, scaffolding, and steps.
