Purpose and Objective
Position is focused on planning, processing and administrating all purchasing activities in order to provide KBC organization with needed material, parts, semi-products and services. The Professional Buyer will ensure the procurement of materials, goods and services to meet production plans of the company as well as working directly with an assigned Commodity Manager in an effort to establish reliable, long term vendors, with required service level and quality, while maintaining competitive pricing.
Keeps procedural alignment with the general procurement guidelines and defined general contract agreements
Maintain thorough records through the tendering process to ensure proper and efficient handover to Project/ Operations teams
General procurement support functions
Highlighting any major commercial risks or issues to Management and work with them to ensure the optimum solution
Executes observation of relevant supplier markets and the respective accredited suppliers
Develops and maintains supplier contacts
Generate, Manage, and Retain Records of Cost Savings Efforts
Negotiates general and/or case-related procurement contracts, including specifications, volumes, pricing, terms and conditions
Assigns existing suppliers to new product and/or work with Commodity Managers to find appropriate suppliers
Place orders within assigned commodity, semi-products and/or services.
Monitors the quality, quantity and other agreed contract conditions for the goods delivered
Interacts with supplier to achieve best price and delivery, place orders as required and settle any questionable deliveries, in cooperation with other departments
Propose measures and action plans to ensure supplier quality, if needed.
Must be able to follow instructions, safety & environmental rules and regulations.
Technical and Professional Requirements
ERP Systems, SAP experience a plus
Strong communication skills
Manufacturing experience required
Supervisory Experience a plus
4-7 Years of Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience required
